Instant Upload ist eine Google+ Anwendung für Smartphones. Sie überträgt aufgenommene Bilder automatisch an Google+. Von dort könnt ihr dann entscheiden ob und mit wem sie geteilt werden sollen. Das erspart das lästige übertragen der Fotos vom Handy zum PC. Voraussetzung dafür ist die Google+ App. Sobald diese installiert ist arbeitet Instant Upload automatisch im Hintergrund. Wer das nicht möchte kann den Dienst aber deaktivieren.
Sinnvollerweise werden die gemachten Bilder zunächst in einem Album gespeichert, das nur der Accountinhaber sehen kann. Von dort aus können dann die besten Bilder ausgewählt und mit bestimmten Personen oder Kreisen bei Google+ geteilt werden. Instant Upload arbeitet mit jeder Kamera App zusammen, da es sich die Bilder direkt aus der Galerie (dem Bilderverzeichnis) des Smartphones holt.
Tipp: Falls keine Datenflat vorhanden ist kann man einstellen, dass die Bilder erst automatisch übertragen werden, wenn man über ein WLAN mit dem Internet verbunden ist.
